Summer Course: “Introduction to Islamic Finance”

About the course:

Leave your calculators at home because we won’t be crunching numbers. Instead in this two-week course we will be exploring how business practices and culture influence each other in Islamic countries.

The main theme will be Islamic Finance and you’ll get a proper introduction into this field of finance, which is a growing industry. Next to the Islamic Finance themes you will get a proper introduction into Morocco and its history. We will use this background to further explore the origins and reasoning behind Islamic Financial Instruments.

During the summer course we will give you an introduction into Islamic Finance, its origins and the philosophy behind it. These courses will be given at the Netherlands Institute Morocco (NIMAR), a renowned expertise centre for Moroccan Studies.
